Ameer Carter

Featured in the Chicago Design Museum, SCAD Permanent Collection and several self-hosted shows, “Sirsu” is a mixed media artist who works with portraits, physical objects and digital works in abstract...or at least feels more abstracted than organic. Borrowing heavily from the works of Jason Thielke and Ashley Wood, Sirsu looks to evoke emotion through dynamic lines and raw energy with compositions that look ethereal and light.

Andres Alvarez

Andres Alvarez is a self-taught visual artist born in the Dominican Republic. He moved at the age of 13 to live in Puerto Rico, and then made a move to NYC at the age of 18, where he still resides. He had manifested his artistic abilities through drawing since a very early age, but it wasn’t until 2013 that he decided to further develop his technical skills and expand his range as an artist by exploring and learning about the techniques used by the old masters, such as Bouguereau, Alma-Tadema, Diego Velazquez, etc., and some of his modern-day art heroes, such as Frank Frazetta, Cesar Santos, Donato Giancola, Jeremy Mann, Simon Bizley, and others. His early work began as a rediscovery of himself as an artist and a still ongoing search for his place in the visual art spectrum. As a result, this search highlighted a passion for portraiture work through the use of oil paint on canvas but also has a constant need to capture various subjects and elements that are the makeup of his interests and sparks of curiosity. As Andres grows as an artist, so does the physical scale of his pieces, which drove him to inevitably seek out mural artwork, a field that he is looking to further develop as part of his repertoire of services as a professional artist, which already includes portrait commissions, the sale of original art, digital art direction and graphic design. His goal is to be able to help people get in touch with their higher selves through the art experience, and enjoy the art journey as much as possible.

Besmira Rraci

Besmira desires for her work to communicate to audiences that there are things that everyone sees, but there are also things people pretend they don't see. "I explore not only why that is but how long can it last. How long can someone be presented with such raw truths and emotions and just blatantly reject them?" Besmira looks to this phenomenon in reference to the identity of a person and aims to convey the deeper meanings behind people's eyes, and what they wish everyone could see.

Bria Whitney

Whitney (b. 1993, Brooklyn) lives and works in Brooklyn, NYC. Being a New York native made the art world easily accessible, enabling exploration within the ever-present diversity and vibrant culture of the city. After being awarded scholarships to attend the Fine Art Intensive programs at New York University and Pratt College, Whitney received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts with a minor in Art History from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Now Whitney works as a Mixed Media Artist, using both mediums of painting and printmaking in her works that investigate notions of identity - “who or what a person or thing is”.
Whitney's works are an expressive experience employing heavy brush strokes that gives texture and movement in each work. With great admiration, Whitney has become heavily influenced by numerous artists, in particular Schiele, Saville, Marden and Walker.

Elyse Walker

I am Folk painter who's art comes more from my hands then my brain. It's quiet moments that happen over and over. My art really explore relationships, you and time, you and youth. One of the reasons i think my art comes from my hands more is because i see it before i paint and it feels like I am tracing whats there. I am a Nanny in New York for three years now and i think my work becomes odd prayers that stick on paint.

Kaira Villanueva

Kaira Villanueva explores boundaries between science fiction narratives and natural phenomena in oil and digital paintings. She grew up in the Philippines, surrounded by lush mountains and volcanic beaches. At nine years old, she acclimated to the suburbs of New Jersey and found solace in watching Jurassic Park and studying ecological and computer systems.
Her work in engineering strongly influences her paintings, often depicting themes that push the limitations of current scientific progress. Majority of her pieces implement a combination of negative space and tonalism that grounds the central theme of Auribus teneo lupum. Her art opens the anxiety that exists in the liminal state between the present and the future.
Her recent series “Misty” and “Ocean Textures” hones in on natural occurrences. “Misty” is an observation of rural human habitation engulfed by small droplets of water suspended in air, while “Ocean Textures” is a study on how air pushes water. She is recently working on “Black Whole” which focuses on human perception of celestial objects, blurring the line of truth and fiction.

Kira Villanueva

Mark De Clive Lowe

Musical maverick Mark de Clive-Lowe seems an impossibility at first sight - juggling piano, synths, live sampling and beat making all on-the-fly, brought to life with a casual ease that’s mind-boggling. The Japanese-New Zealander was raised primarily in New Zealand where he learnt piano from a young age developing an avid passion for jazz through his father’s record collection. In high school, he fell in love with Native Tongues hip hop and early UK jungle – laying the foundation for what was to come next…
During his hugely formative decade at the epicenter of London’s underground music scene, MdCL helped evolve broken beat alongside some of the UK’s most forward-thinking trailblazers, establishing himself as a new voice in progressive electronic music and leading global tastemaker DJ Gilles Peterson to designate him “the main behind a million great tunes”. Since 2008, MdCL has called Los Angeles, California home where his acclaimed club night CHURCH has taken his signature sound of technology and beat-infused jazz mash-up from coast to coast and around the globe. Equal parts pianist, composer and live production wizard, MdCL’s sets are a treat for the listeners, the dancers, the progressives and the purists alike - as he casually erases the lines between genres and eras.
Whether he’s remixing classic Blue Note Records in real time, on stage joined by the likes of Kamasi Washington, Nia Andrews or Eric Harland, improvising solo piano or creating live soundtracks to classic film material, MdCL is an artist in constant evolution, reaching for that next level. He has performed with Harvey Mason, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Dwight Trible and Jean Grae; remixed Shirley Horn, Hiatus Kaiyote, Mantombi Matotiyana and Jerry Goldsmith; and recorded as producer and collaborator with artists all over the planet. Having contributed to over 300 releases, to call MdCL prolific is something of an understatement.
MdCL has featured at festivals including Montreal Jazz, North Sea Jazz, Uberjazz, Tokyo Crossover Jazz Festival, Montreux Jazz Atlanta and is an established performer globally from South Africa to Japan and across the US and Europe.

Natalie Foucauld

Natalie Foucauld aka Le Poodle grew up in South Florida as a first generation Puerto Rican and Haitian American. Her mother put her in art classes from a very young age after a pre-school teacher noticed her drawing abilities and recommended that she hone that skill. Natalie would get bored easily and luckily she was given the opportunity to jump around between music, art, reading, poetry, dance, and sports as a child—as long as she had good grades of course. She eventually studied fine art at A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach. It was here where she truly was able to develop her technical skills as a visual artist. She was also able to expand as a person after being exposed to so many different kinds of artistic mediums and peers from many different backgrounds. After high school, she had decided to go on and study nutrition sciences at Florida State University. At this time, she was not painting as often, although if you look at her old chemistry notebooks, you can see them covered in doodles. She moved down to Miami to study at Barry University for physician assistant (PA) school. The intensity of PA school definitely took a toll on her and she was yearning for something to relieve this pressure, yet could not put her finger on it. She realized she was always going to music shows and concerts, supporting her friends and constantly digging and discovering new music. On a whim one day she decided to pick up the guitar and make a song from a poem she had written. Since then she never looked back and proficiently learned guitar, bass, keys and how to record herself at home, while also fronting a band she formed called Cloud Solo. She also goes by her solo artist name, Le Poodle, often. She completed her doctorate in medical sciences this past year, while also working as a PA. Today, she expresses herself through music, art, and other pathways.

A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Artsでファインアートを学ぶ。

Patrick Smith

Patrick Smith is a realist painter who defies conventional standard of beauty, gender and sexuality. His method consists of a maniacal, layered, detailed obsessed, chiaroscuro technique. Because of the ambiguous quality of its surface, paper is his canvas of choice, giving the viewer the illusion of staring at a photograph at a first glance.

Patrick smith

Skylar Davis

Skylar Davis, is a multi discipline artist living in Louisville, KY. Growing up in a fundamentalist Christian majority small town in Kentucky, Skylar was raised to be a lady and remain pure until marriage in order to be seen as a holier person.

Graham is an alumni of Arts High School where she attended as an Visual Arts major and is current working as a Teaching-Artist for GlassRoots Inc; a non for profit glass arts studio. She is also a full-time student of the Michael Graves College School of Public Architecture at Kean University. Grahams work is peppered with lots of color and takes on the various forms of weird, vulnerable, playful and sometimes political aspects of American cultures. In a similar way, fashion and music references are layered throughout Graham's work as she challenges herself to pair daydreams and visuals from some of her favorite experiences, people and visual artist along with materials like marker, watercolor and acrylic paint, or glass to create beautiful visuals. With Graham's work she hopes to provoke adventure where inspiration has faded, begin journeys by acknowledging existing life and the understanding that every moment should start with a tabula rasa.
